Director, Collegiate Relations
This position is responsible for supporting and engaging undergraduate students at colleges and universities in the Mid-Atlantic region to encourage awareness of healthcare marketing communications and strategies. They also play the leading role in helping to lead the annual scholarship for the Summer intern program. The applications open in February, and selections need to be made by no later than the second week of April. This position will also be responsible for creating a roadmap for the summer intern and communicating with the school as needed. 
Time commitment: About 2 - 2.5 hours per month

Communications, Email Chair
Our Communications, Email Chair will help create, design, and publish MASHSMD's email communications to members and prospects. The Email Chair will work closely with our Social Media Chair, Programming Chair, and Website Chair to help coordinate with the Communications Calendar. Our organization uses Constant Contact.
Time Commitment: 2- 2.5 hours per month

MASHSMD Member Meetup Chair 
This position is responsible for hosting and coordinating our virtual events throughout the year (at least one meetup a quarter). They will work closely with the Board and the Director of Speakers to identify our speakers for the year. They will also help create the content and form information to share with the Website Chair and work closely with our sponsor on collecting Zoom assets. 
Technology we use: Zoom, AirTable, Google Drive 
Time commitment: About 2 - 2.5 hours per month

Membership Chair
Maintain membership records and help lead efforts to recruit new members and introduce them to the services of MASHSMD
Expected time commitment: About 2 hours per month

Director, Sponsorships, Spring Conference 2023
Our director of sponsorships will help recruit and manage sponsorships for our 2023 conference but also sponsors who can commit to engaging corporate sponsors, developing sponsorship prospects, securing sponsors, and managing the delivery of sponsorship benefits. The 2023 Conference date and time are being determined. 
Time commitment: About 2-3 hours per month

Director, Entertainment, Spring Conference 2023
Our entertainment director will help keep our Conference attendees and sponsors engaged throughout the event. They will also lead our member goodie bags and contest prizes. The 2023 Conference date and time are being determined. 
Time commitment: About 2 hours per month

Director of Diversity and Inclusion

  • The MASHSMD Director of Diversity and Inclusion will cultivate a supportive and inclusive, collaborative environment for all our members and our board. Shall attend monthly board meetings.
  • The Director of Diversity and Inclusion’s responsibilities include crafting fair board policies, implementing inclusion programs, and applying objective member recruiting procedures. To be successful in this role, you should have experience in HR and knowledge of human rights legislation and be dedicated to MASHSMD’s commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion priorities.
    Key Duties
  • Design MASHSMD policies and education to board members that reinforce diversity in our organization, address all kinds of harassment and protect minority groups and women
  • Review and update all communication on our website, social media pages, job descriptions, and internal documents to ensure we use non-discriminatory language
  • Act as a consultant to underrepresented groups and make sure all voices are heard
    Preferred Skills/Experience
  • Work or hands-on experience designing company policies like anti-discrimination and equal employer opportunity
  • Good knowledge of labor and human rights legislation
  • Participation in seminars about diversity in the workplace is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Leadership skills
  • Expected time commitment: 2-3 hours per month
